Ghost towns, empty streets, no traffic at rush hours and most businesses indefinitely locked down… This has been the case for most Chinese cities in the past month and we were no exception. For safety reasons, our China offices remained closed a bit longer than expected after the Spring Festival due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Fortunately, with our team’s efforts we managed to stay operational and keep providing our translation services from home, carrying out what some have called the “largest work-from-home experiment in history”.
Recently, the situation seems to be under control in the provinces where our offices are located. The numbers of confirmed cases are lower each day and recoveries are on the rise, thankfully.
We are now back in our offices, which are being regularly disinfected, and we have our temperature checked several times a day. It feels safe to be back and we can assure that the work-from-home experiment has shown positive results.
Our team members have proven their professionalism and clients keep congratulating us for staying on duty and delivering their translation projects timely and with the high quality that always remains at the center of our core values.
Thanks to our amazing team for your precious efforts and to our clients for their constant support and trust!
We sincerely hope that the lives of those affected by COVID-19 everywhere in the world can slowly go back to normal and send our best wishes from MTS China.
