Two weeks ago, at a point in time amid the solar and lunar new year, with the Spring Festival around the corner, Master Translations team gathered in Xiamen city to welcome the new year. The rest of the MTS team joined the event via live streaming to enjoy a vibrant soirée that boosted our team spirit. The best intentions and ambitious goals for the new year were set at this gathering where representatives from all the departments shared their data analysis and insights on diverse topics with our in-house linguists, managers and other staff at Master Translations.
Company leaders, as well as experts from the domestic, international, production and technical departments were invited to present and discuss diverse topics from the new technologies adopted in the past year and the current applications of MTPE (machine translation + post-editing) to improve efficiency while maintaining quality, to remote interpretation platforms, and strategies to advance global competitiveness and international presence through social media and collaborative marketing strategies.
Some members of the MTS team were recognized for their efforts during the past years in the translation and project management fields. Others were awarded for their accomplishments, seniority and loyalty to the team with prizes like precious Chinese Qidiao (漆雕) carved lacquerware.
Based on the lunar calendar, the Year of the Ox will begin on February 12. This Chinese zodiac animal denotes hard work, perseverance and honesty, values deeply inspiring to us at Master Translations.
