Part-time remote job offers for freelance interpreters
Job description: OPI (Over-the-phone) and VRI (Video Remote Interpreting) interpretation jobs.
Independent Contractors/Freelance interpreters needed for over-the-phone and video remote consecutive interpretation to/from Mandarin Chinese and one of the following:
English, Italian, Spanish (LatAm & ES), French, German, Portuguese (BR & PT), Polish, Russian, Arabic, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Burmese, Malay, Filipino, Punjabi, Persian, Mongolian, Uyghur, Tibetan
Duties and details:
- Providing consecutive interpretation services over-the-phone or via mobile app from an at-home office or quiet environment.
- You will work based upon your availability and within your expertise only.
- You will be required to communicate clearly and accurately and to perform according to the ethical guidelines and best practices of the profession.
Requirements:
- High proficiency of Mandarin Chinese and at least one of the languages on the list above.
- Relevant consecutive interpretation experience (medical, legal, business, travel or hospitality fields).
- Formal training or education on interpretation and/or translation studies. Certifications will be required in subsequent steps of the recruitment process.
Prior experience in remote interpretation is not a must.
