During the award ceremony held on September 28th, 12 “MTS Translation Practice Scholarships” were granted to undergraduate and graduate students of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Xiamen University.
Ms. Zhang and Mr. Ye, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of MTS, respectively, represented MTS at the award ceremony and handed out the 12 scholarship certificates to the awardees.
“MTS Translation Practice Scholarships” are fully funded by Master Translations Co. Ltd. to encourage translation majors to put their skills into practice and extend their learning outside the classrooms. Each year, 10-20 students with outstanding performance are selected and granted MTS scholarships. Congratulations to the awardees!
Mr. Wei, CEO of MTS, enrolled the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Xiamen University in 1984 and graduated in 1991. After he founded Master Translation Services, he has maintained close contact with the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Xiamen University.
Master Translation Services is the listed practice base of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Xiamen University. Every year, a number of undergraduate and graduate students from different language departments join the company as trainees. At the same time, the company provides a large number of part-time interpreting and translation opportunities for teachers and students of CFLC. Members of the company’s main technical team often serve as a part-time teachers of specialized translation courses for the Master´s Program of Translation and Interpretation (MTI). Moreover, MTS sponsors the “Cross-Strait Interpretation Competition” and other important events organized by the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Xiamen University.
