The Slatorcon 2019 Conference in San Francisco with attendants from all corners of the world ended last week. Around 120 representatives from LSPs, investors, and technology vendors attended the conference where topics included large-scale corpus annotation, corporate localization, neural network translation technology (NMT), mergers and acquisitions, business operations, medical interpreting and venture capital and private equity investment, demonstrating the ecology of different sectors in the industry.

The event’s spokesperson described the industry’s positive development prospects. Participants and investors showed optimism about the industry’s situation and current trends.

During the chat outside, everyone agreed on the positive development of Slatorcon. The highlights were the conferences of various industry associations and the speech of Slator’s CEO which presented thorough market research. The conference topics were grounded; the website content and industry news were brilliantly selected; the conference size with limited number of attendants and the time were just right. The conference app is user-friendly, so it has become very popular in recent years. Although it is the first time MTS participates in Slatorcon, we look forward to the next event.
