Citizens over 18 years of age become adults in China. MTS is 18 years old now since it was founded in August of 2000. The MTS New Year’s Conference was held in Xiamen Business Yixiang Hotel on January 6th, 2018, and themed “18-years-old MTS, forging ahead to success.” MTS and all its subsidiaries with a lot of employees coming from Shanghai, Fuzhou and Quanzhou attended this gathering.
2018 MTS New Year’s Conference is made up of 3 parts:
- Discussions around customer development and maintenance, vendor management, project management and how to increase satisfaction from customers.
- Discussions around staff development, internal collaboration and team building
- Discussions around quality control and future prospect
A total of 23 employees took the stage to speak with confidence and composure, rigorously and humorously. The conference continued for a whole day.
Colleagues from the Production Department advised we “always keep an eye on the latest developments of machine translation”.
Colleagues from the Post-translation and DTP Department told us to make full use of official resources of all the CAT tools and welcome all kind of questions during use of CAT tools and corpus.
Colleagues from International Business Department discussed about the importance of communication between customers and AMs.
And our Vendor Management Department emphasis that except Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French and other common languages, we can also translate some rare languages like Madagascar and Hebrew.
The Interpretation Business Department told us: The word of mouth of MTS is getting better, for example, we handled simultaneous interpretations for 7 international meetings on October 4th, 2017.
The colleagues from Quality Control Department is trying to “improving the bilingual comprehension and writing skills of all the in-house linguists. In the meantime, we are required to have the ability to verify the correctness of terms, grope for definitions and corresponding words of emerging objects and events.”
After the conference, we moved to the 7th Floor for a dinner party to end this day. We gathered together celebrating 18 years of excellence in language services. We toasted to and celebrated the coming of the new year and a better future of MTS in 2018!
We have experienced ups and downs in the 18 years of development, gained lots of praises and compliments from our clients and vendors; We have bridged different cultures and languages with innumerable business cooperations, product launches and maintenances, settlement of agreements and disputes…We are now 18 years old, with inexhaustible strength and a bright future!
